FAQ
Questions, answered
Quick clarity before you apply.
Do I start selling immediately?+
No. Pimarket is approval-based, so your seller tools and live listing access only unlock after your application has been reviewed and approved.
What do I need to apply?+
You should be ready with your store name, store description, seller type, contact details, and identity or business verification documents. The application guides you through the exact fields we need.
How long does approval take?+
Approval time depends on application volume and whether your submission is complete. We aim to review quickly, and your application status will be visible in your account.
Can I reapply if rejected?+
Yes. If your application is rejected, you can fix the issue and reapply through the seller application flow.
What happens after I get approved?+
Once approved, you can access the seller dashboard, create listings, manage orders, set up payouts, and use the seller tools available on your plan.
Do I need to be a registered business?+
Not always. Pimarket supports different seller types, including individuals, registered businesses, and wholesalers. During onboarding, you’ll choose the type that matches your situation.
Can I sell internationally?+
Yes. Pimarket is starting with South Africa-based sellers who can sell into supported buyer destinations abroad. Your application, shipping setup, and payout readiness need to match that export flow.
Which countries can I sell to first?+
The first supported buyer destinations are the UK, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UAE, Germany, and USA. You only enable the countries you can realistically support.
Who handles shipping?+
Sellers are responsible for packing orders accurately. Pimarket gives you protected shipping setup, order tracking, and buyer-facing structure, but product weight, dimensions, and delivery expectations must stay accurate.
Is Shiprazor already required?+
Pimarket uses a hybrid fulfilment flow while Shiprazor automation matures. Buyers pay protected shipping at checkout, and final courier details are saved back to the order after booking.
What commission does Pimarket charge?+
Pimarket commission is 15% for individual sellers, 12% for registered businesses, and 9% for wholesalers. Seller earnings are tracked in the Pimarket seller wallet and ledger.
Will I need to complete KYC?+
Yes. Identity verification is part of the seller approval and payout-readiness process. Sellers with incomplete verification may be blocked from withdrawals or final approval.
Can I save my application and come back later?+
Yes. If you do not finish in one sitting, you can return and continue your application later instead of starting from scratch.
Do I pay to apply?+
No. There is no fee to submit a seller application. Marketplace fees and optional seller tools only apply after you are approved and start using the platform.
How do payouts work after I start selling?+
Payout access depends on your verification status and payout setup. Once your account is ready, earnings move into your seller wallet and can be withdrawn according to Pimarket payout rules.
What if I need more listings or advanced seller tools later?+
You can start with the standard seller setup and upgrade later if you need more live listings or access to Pimarket Plus features.
Can Pimarket remove or reject my listings later?+
Yes. Approval to sell does not override marketplace rules. Listings still need to follow Pimarket policies and may be moderated, rejected, or removed if they break platform requirements.
Who should apply right now?+
The best fit is a seller who already has products ready, can provide accurate identity or business details, and wants to build on a quality-controlled marketplace instead of an open listing free-for-all.
